Janina Wollmann

Janina Wollmann is a sociologist and research associate at the Department of Methods of Empirical Social Research and Social Structure Analysis. Within the Collaborative Research Center (SFB 294) she works on the subproject B06 "Property Inequalities in the Private Sphere. Couple-Internal and -External Drivers of the Change of Property Arrangements in Couple Relationships" since 2025.

Previously, as a research associate at the Institute for Democracy and Civil Society (IDZ) Jena from 2023 to 2024, she prepared an interim report on the implementation of the recommendations of the parliamentary committees of inquiry on the NSU-Complex, with a particular focus on the areas of judiciary, investigative and law enforcement agencies and democracy promotion. She completed her bachelor's degree in sociology and psychology and her master's degree in sociology with a focus on "Gender relations in Modern Societies" at the Friedrich Schiller University Jena. She examined the situation of single mothers in Germany with regard to their property arrangement and precarization. In addition to focusing on gender relations, Janina Wollmann works on the topics of right-wing extremism/terrorism, democracy work, forced migration and asylum and anti-discrimination.
