Alexander Hentschel

Alexander Hentschel studied political science and economics at Philipps University of Marburg (B.A.) and political science at Leipzig University (M.A.). He then worked as a research assistant on the “Elitenmonitor” research project funded by the Federal Government Commissioner for Eastern Germany. The project examines top executives in Germany, focusing on the underrepresentation of social groups. Since June 2025, he has been a research assistant in the SFB subproject B04 "Economic Property and Political (In)Equality" at Friedrich Schiller University in Jena.

His research interests lie in elites, the far right, and quantitative methods. In his dissertation, he examines the effects of secondary employment and income of members of parliament.
